Symposium 2008 Program - Thursday
Our conference theme is Future Tourism - we will hear what our competitors are doing around the world, an update on the new strategy for Indigenous Tourism and a topic affecting us all - Climate Change.
This year we will repeat the market steams so that delegates have the opportunity to attend at least two of the three sessions. These are an intense information session designed to allow for in-depth analysis of key markets, including presentations from in-market experts, a panel discussion and Q&A.

Mao's Last Dancer Li Cunxin's inspirational journey Li's journey is simply remarkable. Born into utter poverty in Mao's communist China, at a very young age he was selected to train in Madame Mao's Beijing Dance Academy. The seven years of harsh training regime taught him discipline, resilience, determination and perseverance. Li's astounding drive and relentless hard work has made him one of the best dancers in the world.
In 1999 Li made a successful career transition from ballet to finance. He is now a senior manager at one of the largest stockbroking firms in Australia.

Join us for gourmet food and magnificent wine and beer from the region, including Newcastle, Hunter Valley, Lake Macquarie and Port Stephens.
This is a garden party with a difference - wear the quirkiest hat you can find or dress for the occasion in full 'Alice in Wonderland' fashion. Prizes will be given to those who dress with imagination, whether mad or not.
